Recombinant Antibody Production

Recombinant antibodies are monoclonal antibodies produced in vitro using synthetic genes. Unlike conventional monoclonal antibodies, recombinant antibodies are prepared without animals. Instead, they are produced by detecting the gene sequence of the antibody; then inserting the gene into an appropriate cell line to produce the antibody. Because the antibody is positive, even if the original cell line dies or mutates, the desired cell line can be generated through gene insertion. This ensures the high specificity and stability of the recombinant antibody. In addition, compared with conventional antibodies, recombinant antibodies can provide a higher level of batch-to-batch consistency.   • This stage includes animal immunization with the desired antigen, then separation of B lymphocytes, mRNA extraction and cDNA synthesis.

  • Genes related to different clones of antibodies are digested with restriction enzymes, cloned into a phagemid vector, and then displayed on the surface of the phage.

  • Selection of specific phages
  • After cloning the fragments into the phagemid vector, display various antibody clones on the surface of the phage.
