Immunology

Phage display is a technique in which the DNA sequence of a foreign protein or polypeptide is inserted into the appropriate position of the phage coat protein structural gene, and the foreign gene is expressed together with the expression of the phage coat protein itself. Based on our phage display technology platform, we can provide comprehensive epitope mapping and protease activity detection. Furthermore, when used as a medical strategy, phages may be able to address the current crisis facing humanity as more pathogens become resistant to antibiotics. So-called phage therapy may be one of the most promising alternatives for treating infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria that are killed after phage infection. Many researchers take advantage of the high specificity of phages, which specifically kill unwanted bacteria, and use phages or phage-derived proteins to detect the presence of unwanted pathogens in food or production environments so that living cells can be quickly and specifically identified.

Our Solutions

Creative Biolabs has been focusing on applying advanced phage display technology to a wide range of services. With many years of experience, we can provide high-quality services that precisely meet your various needs. We believe that our phage display technology can give you new opportunities in immunotherapy, food safety testing and bacterial detection. The solutions-based phage we provided are listed below, but are not limited to:

Epitope Determination

Epitope Determination

Creative Biolabs provides phage display techniques for isolating such mimotopes, confirming their specificity, and characterizing peptide epitopes.

Protease Activity Assay

Protease Activity Assay

We developed a protease detection platform based on DNA analysis detection technology combined with phage display technology to detect endopeptidase activity.

Phage Therapy

Phage Therapy

Our scientists apply various methods such as fixed-formulation phage cocktails, cocktail banks or individual phages, and nonfixed formulation cocktails to phage therapy.

Bacteria Detection

Bacteria Detection

In the field of rapid bacterial detection, phages have become an interesting alternative to antibodies. Phages are viruses that only infect bacterial cells.

Food Safety

Food Safety

Phages are the natural enemies of bacteria and can be used for the biological control of bacteria without interfering with natural flora or cultures in fermented products.

Receptor and Ligand Identification

Receptor and Ligand Identification

Phage display technology provides a rapid method that molecular targets can be isolated from extremely complex combinatorial libraries.

Phage Display Technology

Phage display technology is an in vitro screening technique used to identify ligands of proteins and other macromolecules. The key to phage display technology is the ability to express peptide or protein sequences as fusions with phage coat proteins. Using phage display technology, our scientists can screen libraries of over a billion members in days, providing an efficient alternative to more traditional epitope mapping, receptor-ligand recognition or protein evolution approaches.
